Professional Experience

Mfanafuthi’s area of focus is in Construction and Engineering Law. He completed his LLB at UNISA in 2012 and served his articles at a prominent law firm in Durban. He was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2015. Thereafter, he completed his postgraduate Diploma in Contract Drafting & Interpretation of Contracts with the University of Johannesburg. He has also obtained his Advanced Certificate in Construction Contract Drafting Law with the University of Pretoria. In 2015, Mfanafuthi completed his Programme in Construction Adjudication Law with University of Pretoria. He is currently registered for his Master’s degree in Construction Law & International Arbitration with Robert Gordon University, United Kingdom (UK). Mfanafuthi joined Hill International, Johannesburg South Africa in May 2015 where he advised clients on contractual issues and disputes under FIDIC, NEC, GCC, JBCC and Bespoke contracts. His experience includes drafting and reviewing of general commercial contracts and general documents and advising on settlement agreements pertaining to claim disputes.
